We’re back in Bali and have hit the ground running with work on the villas. Rosie has also started a new school here, which she attends three days a week. Over the next few years, we’re hoping that she will be able to happily transition between her school in France and her school in Bali.
Right now she seems to benefit from (and enjoy) the experience of moving between the two cultures, but only time will tell if this arrangement continues to work well for her. Whilst I’ve always been a big planner, and can’t help projecting myself into the future, having Rosie to think about has helped me understand that sometimes in life it’s best to take things one day at a time!

When we travel somewhere new, we always try to seek out authentic, local experiences, as opposed to conventional tourist-y experiences. So I was excited to hear about the “anti-tour” movement that’s popping up in popular tourist destinations across Europe. We might need to try this one next time we’re in Lisbon.
